Day 59: Lazy Tuesday

Here is the link to my original Day 59. It was Sunday March 3, 2019. My headline for that day was "After The Storm". This was a reference to not giving in to emotional eating because I wasn't losing the weight as quickly as I wanted. Sound familiar ? That is right where I am today. At this point the first time around, I had lost nearly 35 pounds. I have some work to do if I want to catch up ! I made it back onto the treadmill even though my cold was still hanging on. I really need to push myself more when it comes to the exercise !


Today was another gray, chilly, rainy day but we did have some periods of sun. After tomorrow morning we're looking at partly cloudy skies but no more rain. By Friday the daytime temps are going to be in the low to mid 60's. I will take that !


It was about 9 when I got up today, even though I was awake before 8. I really need to try harder to get up when I wake up. I know the poor stray cats are out there waiting for me, yet I prioritize sleeping over their needs. Not good !


Breakfast was the last of the 190 calorie pumpkin waffles. They were so good ! I also had an 80 calorie yogurt late morning. Morning snack was a 155 calorie vanilla shake with peanut butter powder. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt. Afternoon snack was an 80 calorie cheese stick and 110 calorie pretzel logs. They were an impulse buy because Walmart didn't have the pretzels I usually buy. They had another brand with the same pretzels, but they wanted almost $7 for a 1 pound bag. No way was I paying that ! Dinner was 260 calorie roasted turkey and green beans. Evening snack was the remains of the maple pancake cookies. I also had a 95 calorie Michelob Ultra after dinner.


I spent the morning and afternoon watching YouTube and playing Cookie Jam. I finally made it to the treadmill around 5:15 and completed the 20m Hauru Beach walk. I am scheduled to progress to the Lafayette Beach walk next Monday and I think I'll be ready for it. It's about the same length workout but it has 30 second intervals alternating between 2.7 and 3 mph. Right now I'm doing 1 minute intervals at 2.4 and 2.8 mph, so it will be a challenge ! It's 6:14 now and my goal is to complete a Road to Recovery walk before 8 pm.


I didn't even give a thought to taking my vitamins today, so that is still something I need to work on. Since I'm going to rock & roll bingo tomorrow, I'll set Thursday as the day to get all my vitamins in !


I'm doing better with turning some of my challenges into habits. I make my bed almost every day and I'm showering more often. The obvious goal is to shower every day ! I'm also doing my skin care. I'm also putting more effort into cleaning the litter boxes each day. As I mentioned, I need to put more effort toward taking my vitamins. I also need to put a LOT more effort towards brushing my teeth every day. 


I didn't really accomplish much around the house today other than repotting my lucky bamboo plant. The roots were growing out of the pot and I just felt like it needed a little more room. The new pot is only slightly larger but hopefully the plant will be happier with fewer roots and fresh clean water. Hopefully the shock doesn't kill it ! I repotted my kalanchoe the other day and that seems to be fine. I've never had much of a green thumb but my plants seems to like the south facing windows.


Today was trash day but I didn't even have a full bag, so I didn't bother to put it out. It was after 4 pm by the time they came ! After my workout I checked in on my bank account to ensure the bill payments and transfer posted. I will still have over $70k in my savings after the bills are paid.


Below is what I achieved today. I am focusing on what I do each day, and not looking back to what I did or didn't do any other day. I hope that one day soon I won't need a checklist to ensure I do all of these everyday tasks !
