Day 3 - Begin Again

  Today is the third day of my latest effort to lose the weight and stick to the Nutrisystem plan. I originally prepared this blog to document the beginning of a new job, but 2 months after being laid off there is no job in sight. Therefore, I am choosing to use this for something positive. I am mentally working through the "checklist" that I've posted each day, and not stressing about the things I don't accomplish. I have a long history of putting so much pressure on myself that I get overwhelmed and then can't function. I'm aware of that and trying to work through it. So, here is today's checklist. I've changed it up slightly. Instead of repeating "get on treadmill" I'm just going to document how many times I do it. Today is only one since I was going out for the evening. Day 2 - Begin Again

  Today is the second day of my latest effort to lose the weight and stick to the Nutrisystem plan. I originally prepared this blog to document the beginning a new job, but 2 months after being laid off there is no job in sight. Therefore, I am choosing to use this for something positive. I was awake just before 7 am today and got up just before 7:30. I'd have liked to sleep more but my body said nope, you're awake. Once the cats were fed and I'd been to the bathroom I decided to weigh myself, since I didn't do that yesterday. Well - the number was devastating but not quite unexpected. I am at 278 pounds. When I first started Nutrisystem in 2019 I was at 304 and here I am nearly 5 years later approaching that weight again. I am not happy with myself and I'm glad I'm beginning to take back control. Day 1 - Begin Again

  Today is the first day of my latest effort to lose the weight and stick to the Nutrisystem plan. I originally prepared this blog to document the beginning a new job, but 2 months after being laid off there is no job in sight. Therefore, I am choosing to use this for something positive. I got up around 8:30 today. Once the cats were fed I settled in to have breakfast and enjoy some coffee. Breakfast was 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt, which I enjoyed with my second cup of coffee. I got dressed shortly after 10 and since I found a bag of mozzarella cheese in the freezer, there is no need to go to the grocery store today ! I thought I had a bag frozen but hadn't taken the time to go look for it. Once that is thawed I can put together some pizzas and get those frozen. Before I had my second cup of coffee and yogurt I got dressed and put my sneakers on ! There will NO excuses to avoid the treadmill today. I didn't weigh myself this morning so I...
