Day 90: Never Giving Up

Each day I feel a little more hopeful for the future. I think I am good financially and I have fewer concerns about my health. Maybe that is naive but I feel good, I've seen no blood in my stool for over a week and the abdominal discomfort has resolved. If it really was the ibuprofen that tore up my digestive tract, that takes time to heal and I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. My back is also about 95% healed. Taking Tylenol for that didn't seem to bother my digestive tract. I plan to start walking on the treadmill tomorrow. I'm going to continue with the Road to Recovery series and keep the cardio workout on hold for another week or two. I had read about something called ischemic colitis and most of my symptoms could be attributed to something like that. I was exercising 4 times a day for over a week and perhaps that was just asking too much of my body. Tomorrow I will start with 2 slow paced workouts, which I feel is reasonable. I'm glad I tossed all the vitamins and ibuprofen. As much as I hate to waste money, I value my health more. I do plan on starting a multivitamin again in the new year, but I want to let my body rest and detox for now.

Yesterday I spent most of the day on the couch watching YouTube and doing some financial housekeeping. I've slowed down a little on watching political stuff. Naturally the Democrats are freaking out over anything and everything Trump is doing, but nothing is really going to happen until January 21, 2025. I think he is throwing a lot out there now so that people are desensitized and over it by the time he officially takes office. The Dems will keep spewing hate and that will only polarize more people to move in Trump's direction. One thing I am doing is unfriending anyone who posts hateful things on social media. I cleaned up my Facebook "likes" yesterday and unfriended a couple people. I also cleaned up my Instagram follows. I've subscribed to a lot of Fox related content, even though I've never been one to watch news or political stuff. I did this mostly because the next 4 years are going to be chaotic and I want to stay informed. I even logged in to my X account, which I never use, and subscribed to follow Elon and many Fox hosts. The next 4 years are also going to (hopefully) bring historic change to the US. Trump really has nothing to lose as he can't run for re-election in 2028. Hopefully he will set up his VP for success and keep the Republican's in power for years to come.

Below is what I achieved today. I am focusing on what I do each day, and not looking back to what I did or didn't do any other day. I hope that one day soon I won't need a checklist to ensure I do all of these everyday tasks !
