Day 92: Still Off Track

Tomorrow I plan to return to the treadmill for at least one workout. My back is better and my digestive issues have cleared up. I've stopped sitting on the yoga pillow as I feel it was contributing to the poor posture that may be part of the overall problem. I'm also trying to put something behind my back to force me to sit in a more upright position. A physical therapist taught me this trick many years ago. Put a rolled towel, blanket or pillow at your low back and it forces you to sit straighter. When I used the bathroom this morning it was so normal and that felt really good.

I'm still working on my relationship with food. Weeks ago I  bought tubes of "cornbread swirls" and biscuits that you bake. The biscuits were a disappointment but last night I decided to bake some of the cornbread. Well, they were a disappointment too. They're like a cross between cornbread and the biscuits that I didn't care for. Yet again I should have just made what I really wanted: real cornbread and real biscuits ! I have a large unopened box of Bisquick but I'm too lazy to make the biscuits I really want. I could also easily buy the box cornbread mix I want ... but again, too lazy ! The dilemma now is what to do with the cornbread swirls. I have 4 that I baked last night, along with another tube of 6 that are unbaked. Do I throw them away or eat them ? I will probably eat them but I will never buy them again. Next time a craving strikes I will get or make the item I really want !

I was awake just before 8 even though I didn't go to sleep until well after midnight. I lounged in bed scrolling my phone until almost 9:30 then finally got up to feed the hungry strays. There were 6 of them this morning and it made me so happy to see them all eating contentedly. I spent the rest of the morning starting this blog, watching YouTube and playing some Cookie Jam. I've watched some political news but I'm managing to keep it to a minimum. I'm really looking forward to January 20 ! I'm hoping it will be an epic Inauguration ! One astonishing fact about this election is many more New Yorker's voted for Trump ! I think many NY politicians are shocked and worried about this, since NY has always been a blue state. I think the Dems are now worried about their ability to change anything when the midterm elections roll around in 2026. If Trump is doing well, the Dems could lose even more seats ! We really need Trump to maintain the majority in the Senate and the House, if we want any substantial change during his term. He also needs to develop his VP into a candidate people will get behind in 2028. Not an easy task when you have a gigantic ego ! So far I've only had to delete one Facebook friend for posting political hate. No loss, it's a former colleague I never really cared for or knew well. People are free to express their opinion unless it borders on hate or wishing bad things on people just because of their politics. Interestingly enough, most of my former colleagues that I knew well and really liked turned out to be Trump supporters in 2016 and 2024 ! I guess you just instinctively know who your people are ! One thing that is super funny is people are saying the Biden's voted for Trump. I wouldn't be surprised, as I'm sure they were mad about Biden being basically forced out of running for re-election. Jill Biden wore a red pantsuit on election day and red is the Republican color. Coincidence ? I don't think so. I think it was a big FU to the Democratic party. January 6 is when the election will be certified (by Kamala Harris) and I'm hoping that goes off peacefully. I can't wait to watch the Inauguration on January 20th ! I'm sure there will be those who try to protest, but DC is pretty good about keeping people far away from the White House. Hopefully the Secret Service learned their lesson after the assassination attempts ! I'm sure there are many more nut jobs out there who would love to go down in history as the person that took out Trump. The best part of January 20 will be the removal of the trannies ! You can be assured none of those freaks will be part of Trump's cabinet.

Below is what I achieved today. I am focusing on what I do each day, and not looking back to what I did or didn't do any other day. I hope that one day soon I won't need a checklist to ensure I do all of these everyday tasks !
